Head of the Department of Differential & Biological Psychology (Professorship)
Since October 2006 I have been head of the Department of Differential & Biological Psychology at the University of Bonn. My research focuses on the following areas
- psychobiological aspects of personality
- biological foundations of interindividual differences in cognitive functions
- psychobiological aspects of addiction
- neuroeconomics
- personality diagnostic
In 2009, the Centers for Economics and Neuroscience (CENs) was founded as a central scientific institution at the University of Bonn to accommodate lecturers and students from the fields of economics, neuroscience and psychology. As one of the founders of the CENs, I took on the role of Vice Director. The methods used cover the spectrum from human single unit recordings, functional and structural MR imaging and genetics to classical experimental economics and analyses of panel data.
